Villa Youville is seeking a compassionate and experienced nurse to join the healthcare team. The nurse will play a critical role in providing high-quality nursing care to residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of seniors, and be part of a caring and supportive community.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Fluency in spoken French an asset.
- Accreditation in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) or Licensed practical nurse (LPNM).
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, BCLS level.
- Current CPI certification preferred.
- Recent experience in caring for the elderly.
- Active participation in continuing education activities.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Demonstrates problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to direct the work of employees entrusted to his/her care.
- Demonstrates an interest in keeping up with current nursing practice methods and techniques.
- Physical and emotional health to meet job requirements.
- Fully immunized against COVID-19 is mandatory.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Health care assistant certificate from a recognized college or program, completed or in progress.
- Physical and emotional health to meet job requirements.
- Ability and interest in working with seniors with dementia and/or physical disabilities.
- Current certification in choking intervention.
- Current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation an asset.
- Current certification in crisis intervention (CPI) preferred.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships.
- Recent experience in a related field an asset.
- Adherence to personal protective equipment protocols is mandatory.
- Fully immunized against COVID-19 is mandatory.
